God put this mission on the hearts of our co-founders Mitchell & Teryn Gregson in 2021 and they were blessed to have God work through them and their amazing church family to bring this to fruition in the camp's inaugural summer in 2022.
Proud parents of three young children, Mitchell is a professional golfer and former golf instructor at Golf ETC Ponte Vedra under teacher to the pros David Schmutz. Now Director of Instruction at Waterloo Country Club in Waterloo, IL, Mitchell played professionally for more than a decade on various tours, such as, PGA TOUR Latinoamerica, the Korn Ferry Tour, APT and more. Breaking the career scoring average record at Kansas State University, Mitchell has a passion for junior golf and has served as a Sunday School teacher for a combined five years.
We are blessed to have Pastor Brian Sandifer lead Bible Study at our Waterloo, IL, Driving Disciples Camps. As a young man, Brian became a Christian when God called him out of a life of selfishness and pride to repent and serve Jesus as Lord. Eventually, he left a career in information technology to pursue ministry as a vocation. In 2021 Concord Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, Illinois called Brian to serve as their next lead pastor. He and his family of seven are excited to serve the community, joining all God’s servants who labor in the Monroe County region. Brian has been a pastor since 2011, works hard to present sermons that are true to God’s Word and practical, strives to be a humble servant-leader, and is a down-to-earth guy who shares his God-given spiritual gifts with the church. He loves Jesus, family and friends, being active outdoors, reading, writing, and baseball. His life goal is to prioritize all those in the right order!
